Booking Terms and Conditions
These Booking Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") describe what you are legally entitled to expect from us when you book your trip through us, in addition to important obligations you make as a customer that affect your legal rights. The terms "we", "us" and "our" and “CosmoTrips” refer to CosmoTrips. The term "you" and “participant” refers to the person booking a CosmoTrip through us.
It is your responsibility to understand the following terms and conditions. By booking travel with CosmoTrips, you agree to adhere to and accept all the terms and conditions of the Agreement and any additional terms and conditions of any suppliers that are applicable to your booking arrangements. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, you should not book a trip with us.
By booking your CosmoTrip with us, you affirm that you are at least 21 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this Agreement and abide by the terms contained herein. If you are booking a CosmoTrip for another person you agree to inform that person(s) about the provisions of this Agreement that apply to the CosmoTrip booking you have made on their behalf, including, without limitation, all applicable rules and restrictions. You are financially responsible for any CosmoTrip bookings you make on your own behalf as well as for any CosmoTrip bookings made by persons under your direction or control. You also warrant that all information supplied by you or on your behalf, or by members of your household is true, current, complete and accurate.
You agree that any violation of the terms of this Agreement may result in (a) the cancellation of your CosmoTrip, (b) your forfeiture of any monies paid for your CosmoTrip, (c) you being denied access to the applicable travel related product or service, and (d) our right to debit your account for any costs we incur as a result of such violation.
You acknowledge and agree that we may change the terms of this Agreement from time to time and that those changes become effective immediately, including, without limitation, changes that correct any errors and omissions in any published materials by CosmoTrips. You agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement in effect at the time of your travel or at the time of cancellation, if applicable. You agree that it is your responsibility to be familiar with the terms of this Agreement and to check back from time to time for any changes, including prior to travel in order to ensure you are aware of any changes.
Should the CosmoTrips website and its travel offerings (including confirmations) contain errors, including errors in pricing or CosmoTrip inclusions, CosmoTrips reserve the right to correct any such errors, without limitation. Confirmations issued are likewise subject to modification and/or correction at any time prior to actual travel. Under no circumstances shall CosmoTrips, its affiliates, employees, or vendors be held liable for any damage, including consequential or incidental damage, resulting from such errors or the correction thereof.
IMPORTANT COSMO TRIP INFORMATION
Except as otherwise provided herein, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Accommodations include applicable taxes. An optional Travel Protection Plan will be offered during the booking process and if purchased, you will be allowed to cancel subject to the Travel Protection Plan terms. Except as otherwise provided herein, all CosmoTrip bookings are non-refundable. Fees and rates are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed at time of booking. Substantial restrictions apply for cancellation/changes. See other documents provided in connection with the booking of your CosmoTrip for any additional terms and conditions, including those provided by the Travel Protection Plan, hotel and any experience provider or other supplier.
Full payment, including your Travel Protection payment, must be made before your CosmoTrip booking can be confirmed as completed. Customers who choose individual payments (i.e., the total price of the CosmoTrip is split among the members of the CosmoTrips party) must pay in full (i.e., all members of a party have paid) within 72 hours of booking, or the CosmoTrip booking will be canceled and must be rebooked.
We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. Unless otherwise advised, your credit card will be charged for entire amount due for your CosmoTrip booking. Your credit card payment for your CosmoTrip booking will be processed by DH Enterprise & Associates LLC and the charge will appear as follows on your credit card statement: "CosmoTrips”.
Should you choose to pay with Klarna at checkout, you’ll get the option to either “Buy Now” or “Pay Later” for your booking. For more information, see Klarna Pay Later Terms and Conditions and Klarna Pay Later in 4 Terms and Conditions. Should you choose to pay using Klarna, their terms and conditions will also apply to the purchase of your CosmoTrip booking.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGE POLICIES
A CosmoTrip may be canceled for any reason within 72 hours of the completed purchase of a CosmoTrip. To cancel, contact us using our online Contact Us form.
After the 72-hour period from a completed purchase of a CosmoTrip, you may cancel your Cosmo Trip for any reason up to and including the 30th day prior to your CosmoTrip departure date. Should you cancel your CosmoTrip within such permitted time period, you will receive a CosmoTrips Travel Credit (defined below) in an amount equal to the cost of your CosmoTrip which credit can be used for any future CosmoTrip booking. You must complete your CosmoTrip within 12 months from the originally scheduled travel date. For additional cancellation flexibility, you may purchase an optional Travel Protection Plan (see below for more details on this Plan).
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, cancellations will only be accommodated for and apply to all members of a CosmoTrip party. Cancellations are not available for individual members of a CosmoTrip party. If individual members of your CosmoTrip party are unable to travel as per the CosmoTrip booking, you will need to cancel your existing CosmoTrip booking and rebook your CosmoTrip again with the revised members of your CosmoTrip party. Please note that rates and availability at the time of the rebooking of your CosmoTrip will apply.
Name changes on CosmoTrips bookings whose purchase has been completed cannot be accommodated.
TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN
We strongly recommend that you purchase our Travel Protection Plan when booking your CosmoTrip. The option to purchase our Travel Protection Plan (details listed below) will be available when you book your CosmoTrip. Additional details will be provided on your itinerary and Travel Protection Plan voucher upon purchase at the time of your CosmoTrip booking.
Should you decide not to purchase travel protection, it could result in the loss of your travel costs and/or require you to pay additional money to correct the situation. You also acknowledge that without travel protection, there may not be a way to recoup any losses, costs or expenses incurred. If you choose to travel without adequate travel protection coverage, CosmoTrips will not be liable for any losses you may incur.
CosmoTrips Travel Protection Plan Details
Our Travel Protection Plan offers extended coverage to allow you more flexibility to cancel and rebook your CosmoTrip:
You may cancel your CosmoTrip up to and including the 10th day prior to departure for ANY reason and you will receive a travel credit equal to the full amount of all payments made, less any Travel Protection Plan cost and fees (“CosmoTrips Travel Credit”). Your CosmoTrips Travel Credit can be used for any other CosmoTrip, however, seasonality applies and any difference in cost must be paid at time of rebooking. You must complete your CosmoTrip within 12 months from the originally scheduled travel date.
To cancel your CosmoTrip, please submit the following information at our Contact Us page: your name, the names of the members of your CosmoTrip party, if applicable, reservation number and travel date in order for your cancellation of your CosmoTrip booking to be processed. Failure to timely provide such information will result in you not receiving a CosmoTrips Travel Credit. Your CosmoTrip Travel Credit and further information on rebooking will be viewable in the Traveler Portal (see below for information about the Traveler Portal) within 3 - 5 business days from the notice of cancellation.
NOTE: Should you cancel your CosmoTrip booking less than 10 days prior to the departure date of your CosmoTrip, you will not receive a refund or CosmoTrip Travel Credit.
Your travel protection coverage goes into effect on the day full payment, including payment for the Travel Protection Plan, is received and processed. Name change fees are not covered nor are changes or upgrades to CosmoTrip components.

CosmoTrips reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, eligibility for a requested refund, subject to this Agreement and the terms and conditions of the suppliers (e.g. hotels and experience providers). All claims for refunds must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the end of travel date for your CosmoTrip. Any claims not submitted within 30 days of the end of travel date for your CosmoTrip will not be considered.
For the benefit of everyone on your CosmoTrip, CosmoTrips reserves the right to accept or reject any CosmoTrip participant and to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the other participants. We will not refund nor cover any cost or expenses you incur if we have to terminate your CosmoTrip due to your unacceptable behavior.
When booking your CosmoTrip, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss (reasonably estimated if not precisely known) must be paid direct at the time to the accommodation owner, experience provider or other supplier. You agree that you indemnify CosmoTrips for the full amount of any claim (also including our legal costs) made against us as a result of your actions. CosmoTrips is not responsible for any costs incurred concerning your removal from any accommodation or CosmoTrips experience. You agree not to hold CosmoTrips, Hearst Magazine Media, Inc. or its related entities or third-party vendors or suppliers liable for any actions taken under this Agreement.
Baggage and personal effects are at all times your sole responsibility.
All CosmoTrip prices listed herein are per person and are based on double occupancy unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change.
Some fees which are not included in your CosmoTrip may: local city tax; tips to your experience provider; gratuities; laundry; telephone; minibar; alcohol; beverages; and food outside of what is included as part of your CosmoTrip; transportation to and from the destination of your CosmoTrip; Travel Protection Plan payments (unless you have opted to purchase this as part of your CosmoTrip); and all other items not specifically mentioned.
PLEASE NOTE: Prices do include all government-imposed taxes/fees/facility charges. Prices/rates are subject to change without notice. The quoted price for each CosmoTrip represents a complete CosmoTrip price and an itemization of individual component prices will not be rendered under any circumstances. Prices/rates may not apply to certain holidays such as Christmas or the New Year. Supplements may be required for other holidays and may vary by destination.
The accommodations listed on CosmoTrips.com are intended to be used on all departures for the particular CosmoTrip; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent to those originally offered. All accommodations are arranged as stated herein. We reserve the right to substitute hotels and experiences listed herein for similar hotels or experiences as conditions may require.
Please be aware that during your CosmoTrip, certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control. You are voluntarily participating in these activities with the knowledge that there are dangers involved in traveling, and you hereby agree to accept any and all risks. As lawful consideration for the agreement with CosmoTrips to participate in your CosmoTrip and experience you agree you will not make a claim against CosmoTrips, Hearst Magazine Media,Inc., its related entities or their personnel, and third party vendors or sue for bodily injury, emotional trauma, death, property loss or damage or other loss, cost or expense, however caused, as a result of or related to your contracting for, traveling to or from, or in any and every other way participating in your CosmoTrip. You release CosmoTrips, Hearst Magazine Media, Inc. (hereinafter, “Hearst”), its related entities and their personnel, and third-party vendors from any and all claims, known or unknown, arising from contracting for, traveling to or from, and in any and every way participating in your CosmoTrip.
Payment for your CosmoTrip constitutes consent to all terms and conditions described herein. Hearst and its employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents uses third-party suppliers to arrange hotel accommodations and CosmoTrip experiences. Hearst is an independent contractor and is not an employee, agent, or representative of any of these suppliers. Hearst does not own, manage, operate, supervise, or control any hotel or any other entity that supplies services or experiences related to your CosmoTrip. All suppliers are independent contractors and are not agents or employees or representatives of Hearst. Neither Hearst nor any mentioned or unmentioned subagents/affiliates shall be held responsible for any personal injury, property damage or other loss you incur on any CosmoTrip arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organization, whether or not such company is rendering any services supplied on CosmoTrip. Any tickets and vouchers in connection with your CosmoTrip are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to any and all terms and conditions under which services are provided, including the terms and conditions of the supplier or experience provider. Hearst accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses, including refunds of any money paid, due to delay or changes in schedules, cancellations or flight misconnections due to mechanical problems, sickness, quarantine, weather, acts of God, strikes, government actions, war, terrorism, epidemic, pandemic, illness, physical injury, quarantine, medical or customs or immigration regulation, or other circumstances beyond its control. You must bear all such losses or expenses. To guard against unforeseen circumstances, we recommend you purchase our optional Travel Protection Plan offered with each CosmoTrip booking. Hearst reserves the right to alter prices at any time prior to departure and without prior notice if circumstances so warrant.
COSMOTRIPS TRAVELER PORTAL
CREATING A USER ACCOUNT OR BOOKING A COSMOTRIP
In order to book a CosmoTrip, you will need to create a user account on CosmoTrips.com. You cannot use another person’s account without that person’s permission. When creating your CosmoTrips user account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your CosmoTrips user account, and you must keep your CosmoTrips account password secure. When your CosmoTrips account is created, you will be subscribed to our CosmoTrips newsletter program. Cosmo Trips will not be liable for any losses you incurred that are caused by any unauthorized use of your CosmoTrips account. When using site notification services, such as alerts or price reminders, you will be subscribed to our newsletter program. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter program by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email. By completing a CosmoTrips booking, you agree to receive email communications which we may send you prior to your arrival date, giving you information on your destination and providing you with certain information and offers relevant to your reservation and destination. We may also send you an email promptly after your CosmoTrip inviting you to complete our customer review form.
SAVING A COSMOTRIP
You will be able to save certain CosmoTrips to your CosmoTrips account if you are not ready to book right away. Saving a CosmoTrip does not indicate that you are saving the price of such trip. All CosmoTrips are priced dynamically at the time of booking and a saved CosmoTrip will be repriced when you revisit it at any future date after saving it.
SHARING SAVED PAGES
You may choose to share a saved page with another person. In order to do that, you will need to have that person’s email address. The person will receive a transactional email explaining that you have shared this page with them as well as a link to the saved page. Any use or abuse of this feature will result in the termination of your CosmoTrips account.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there may be some information or updates regarding your booking that may occur prior to or during your CosmoTrip which we would communicate to you. We believe that sharing this information will help manage expectations and allow you to have an enjoyable travel experience. We will do our best to monitor the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape, but we urge you to keep yourself informed before and during your trip. Such information can be found on government, airline, hotel, experience providers’ and destination websites.
Where possible, we will reach out to you regarding key changes that may impact your CosmoTrip and discuss appropriate substitutions. Should an appropriate substitute not be available, CosmoTrips will provide refunds for any included services that cannot be provided. This applies to anything outlined in the “What’s Included” portion of your CosmoTrip CosmoTrip and does not apply to any CosmoTrip that may be postponed by CosmoTrips due to COVID-19, in which case a CosmoTrip Travel Credit will be issued.
Here are some things you may or may not experience and by traveling, you acknowledge that you understand and accept any measures put in place by the travel destination, the hotel or experience provider, such as:
• Destinations may require pre-arrival documentation (we will do our best to make you aware of this, but you should check for any such requirements such as COVID testing
• Flight schedules can change
• Temperature taking or other medical policies may be in place
• Masks and gloves may be mandatory
• Inflight services may be interrupted
• Hotels may impose special precautions or additional rules
• Hotels may not be at full occupancy as they practice distancing
• Hotel staff may be limited
• Room service might not be available
• All restaurants and bars might not be open
• Entertainment may not be available
• Spa/gym and any social activities may be closed or canceled
• Tours might be canceled or on limited availability
• Curfews may be put in place
• Any other measures as determined by hotels, destination, experience providers and airlines
